Parent & Child Piano Lessons
Learn the piano side by side in one shared lesson. A joint journey where you and your child grow together — making music, making memories, and making practice at home so much easier.
Studio: Hofgeest 139, 1102 EG Amsterdam
One lesson, one shared journey
Our parent & child duo lessons are designed for families who want to learn the piano together. Instead of dropping your child off and waiting outside, you sit at the piano beside them — learning the same music, sharing the same discoveries, and cheering each other on.
It’s a joint journey in every sense: you’re not just supporting your child’s hobby, you’re becoming a pianist too. And when you both understand what’s being learned, the whole experience becomes richer and far more fun.
Lessons take place weekly at our warm, welcoming studio in Amsterdam.
The magic of the duo lesson
A joint journey
You and your child learn the same pieces at the same time, turning practice into quality time you actually look forward to.
Practice made easy
Because you learn it too, you can guide home practice with confidence — reinforcing every lesson instead of guessing what to do.
Two learners, one lesson
Both of you learn to play for far less than the cost of two separate individual lessons. Real value for the whole family.
You learn to play too
This isn’t just watching — you become a pianist yourself, fulfilling a dream many parents have quietly held for years.
Motivation that lasts
Children stay motivated when a parent is on the journey with them, so progress is steadier and lessons stick.
Memories that stay
Playing your first duet together is a moment you’ll both remember long after the lesson ends.
Two people learning, one smart price
A 45-minute duo lesson is just 50€ — versus 80€ for two separate individual lessons (2 × 45 min at 40€). That’s around 30€ saved every single week, while you both learn to play.

Refer a friend — you both win
Introduce a friend to the School of Pianists. When a new student you’ve referred stays for at least 3 months, you both receive one free lesson — our way of saying thank you.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know how to play the piano already?
Not at all. Most parents start as complete beginners alongside their child. You’ll learn together, step by step, from the very first note.
How does the duo lesson reinforce practice at home?
Because you learn exactly what your child learns, you know precisely what to practise and how. That makes home practice consistent, encouraging, and far more effective than trying to help from the sidelines.
Is it really cheaper than two individual lessons?
Yes. A duo lesson costs noticeably less than booking two separate individual lessons, so both of you learn to play for a fraction of the combined price.
Which parent and child is it for?
It works beautifully for any parent (or grandparent) and child who want to learn together. We adapt the material so both of you are engaged at the right level.
Do we need a piano at home?
Regular practice helps you both progress, so a piano or weighted digital keyboard at home is recommended. We’re glad to advise on options during your trial.
